Wendy Williams Obituary

Wendy L. Williams was born to O. B. and Dora Williams on August 16, 1949 in Mulberry, Florida. After graduating from Mulberry High School, she moved to Elizabeth, NJ in June, 1965. Wendy worked various jobs during her lifetime providing an awesome life for her children. She joined Liberty Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Lester Wormley where she served faithfully until the pandemic began.

Wendy was known as one who took care of everyone from making her famous macaroni salad, short ribs, and many other dishes to being there for others whenever needed. She was a member of the New Beginning Social Club where she served as President. Wendy loved couponing and going to Shop Rite. Playing Bingo and talking on the phone we’re other things she enjoyed doing. Her favorite game shows were Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.


She was preceded in death by: O. B. and Dora Williams( parents), Terrence Williams (son), Otis Williams ( brother), William Leckey( special friend) and Luther Brown ( children’s father).

She leaves to cherish her memory: Her sons: Yumal Williams , Roselle, NJ, Alquamm Williams & Christopher Williams, Elizabeth, NJ; Step Mother, Bertha Williams , Bartow, Florida Sisters: Altamease (Mama Bea) Williams Elizabeth, NJ, Zelma Harris (John) Bartow, Florida; Brothers: Roger Williams, Mulberry, Florida, Edwin Williams ( Patricia) Ft. Meade, Florida, & Bruce Williams, Lakeland, Florida; Grandchildren: Stephanie Williams, Lawrenceville, NJ, Madison Williams, Stroudburg, PA, Zaki Williams, Shiloh Dempsey, Story McNair and Asaja Williams, Elizabeth, NJ, Maurice Hawkins, Colorado Springs,  Colorado, Jevon Pruett,  Roselle, NJ; Prayer Partner: Sally (Big Ma) Nichols Special Friends: Lois Murphy, Linda Medley, Patricia (Tish) Crockett, JoAnn Fullman , Charlie Jones and Charles Jenkins; Special daughters: Hajja Abdul- Rahman, Elizabeth, NJ and Princess Tiecha Pruett, Roselle, NJ and a host of dearly beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Wendy will be missed by her family and all that knew her in New Jersey and Florida.
