Thomas Patterson

Thomas Patterson Jr. departed this like on October 20, 2023, at Clara Mass hospital. Our loving brother, nephew, cousin and friend. He ran his race and fought a good fight. Thomas gave of himself tirelessly and he never met a stranger. He showered us with his smile, love, laughter, advice, prayers, words of encouragement and good food. Thomas was a beautiful person inside and out. He was loyal and faithful until the end. There aren't enough words to express how deeply he impacted the lives of those around him. An unfathomable mark that can never be erased. We loved you but God loved you more, so sleep on dear brother. Rest in Peace knowing we will see you all.

Thomas was born October I5, 1964 to the late Thomas Patterson Sr. and Georgia Ann Patterson in Manhattan (Harlem) New York. He was predeceased by his sister Deborah Patterson.

Thomas graduated from Charles Evans Hughes High School in 1982. He studied at S.U.N.Y. Old Westbury College 82-84. He received an A.S. from Essex Community College and B. A degree from Nyack College in 2008.He held various certificates from Financial Planning Insurance of Security.

Thomas had a very vast and storied career. He was always in search of a position that would utilize all of his skills while allowing him to grow as an individual. Thomas even worked and was present at the World Trade Center on 9/11 but he said, "the Holy Spirit said go get breakfast" and he did thus saving his life.

Thomas accepted Christ at an early age and fellowshipped with his family at Carolina Baptist Church in Harlem. He later became a member of Brooklyn Tabernacle 98-07. Thomas final stop on his spiritual journey was Trinity Christian Center 2009-2023 where he was a active member until his health would no longer allow. He was a part of the prayer ministry as well as volunteering in school drives, food drives, health awareness and visiting the sick. He was a friend to the doctrine and Fellowship Ministry. It was his faith that remained solid and sustained him.

Left to cherish his lasting memory. His Bonus Mom Elsie (Thomas Sr.) Patterson, his brothers Floyd (Donna) Patterson of South Carolina. Dwayne Patterson of New York City, Adrian (Glynise) Ford.

His sisters Gretta (Bruce) Ford Knight, Rachel Rooks, aunts and uncles Katherine Thomas. Donald (Sylvia), Patterson, David (Ellen) Patterson, James (Shirley) Bradshaw, Edward Thompson, Patricia Bradshaw, Mary Bradshaw, and Brenda Harrington, nieces Tiffany, Brianna ,Jessica and Devonna, nephew Michael. Great nieces. his godchildren, and a host of cousins and dear friends.
