Niyeem Darrell Tiller

Niyeem Darrell Tiller, also known as “Dutch” by his friends, was born to Vita Tiller and Donnell Simpson on January 29,1989 at St. Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. He spent his youth between Irvington, Piscataway, and Phillipsburg NJ; and he eventually relocated to Edison NJ, where he graduated from Edison High School in 2006. Continuing his studies, Niyeem went on to attend Berkeley College in Woodland Park, NJ.

As he welcomed adulthood, Niyeem embraced Pennsylvania as his home. While developing his career he worked in logistics, distribution, manufacturing, and most recently as a Residential Support Professional for Resources and Human Development. Always seeking advancement, Niyeem enrolled in classes to become a Site Supervisor at his job. His work ethic and dedication was commendable.

The oldest of 4, Niyeem and his mother shared an extremely close relationship, he loved and valued his brothers and sister, and had an unbreakable bond with his maternal grandmother. As indescribable as he was, Niyeem was truly exceptional, loyal, vibrant, full of love, but most importantly unforgettable. He had a way of brightening any room he walked in with his infectious smile, personality, confidence, and sense of humor. Niyeem’s faith in God not only guided him, but helped to shape the remarkable man that he was.

At the young age of 31, Niyeem Darrell Tiller passed away in his home on November 12, 2020.

Left to cherish and honor his memories are his mother and father, Vita Tiller and Donnell Simpson. His brothers Tahiry Baskerville and Tironne Tiller, and sister Nytasia Tiller. His maternal grandmother Tracy Tiller, and paternal grandmothers Barbara Golden Young and Dianne Simpson. His nieces Shaniya and Jordan Baskerville, and nephew Kayden Baskerville. His aunts Sandra Clapps, Dana (John) Fyre, Twanda (Duane) Holloway, Sonya (Tyrone) Bradshaw, and Brittney Simpson. His uncles Qasim (Jeanyne) Mujtahid, Terrell Hicks, Shelton Hicks, DeWayne Young, and Damien (Courtney) Young; and a host of cousins, extended relatives, and friends. Idi Reynolds, Andrea Ross, Rafael Boundurant Especially Yasmeen Lundy Niyeem’s High School sweetheart and longtime girlfriend. Put together this beautifully written heart felt bio of him.
