Jean O. LaSalle Fennick was born in Perth Amboy, N.J. on December 28, 1935 to the late Harry and Mary Hall.
After battling a long illness she entered into eternal rest on October 23, 2020 at home with her family.
She was educated in the New York City School System from Elementary through High School.
As a young woman she was employed as a retail manager for Joyce Leslie and Famous Fashions in Queens N.Y. In later years she worked as a medical secretary in the office of Dr. Buel Staggers in East Orange, N.J. She retired from the medical office after 18 years of dedicated service.
Jean was a resident of Queens, N.Y. for over 50 years. She lived the final months of her life in Elizabeth, N.J. with her daughter and son-in-law.
Jean was devoted to her family and enjoyed a rich family life which included dinner dances, vacations; bus rides to Atlantic City, Broadway Way Shows and our family club po-ke-no games. She extended a listening ear to all and was always there to help others.
In her later years Jean enjoyed watching television shows Westerns, Lifetime Movies, Law and Order, Joel Osteen and the Super-Bowl.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband James Fennick, mother Mary Hughes Hampton, brother Frank Hall, sisters Doris L. Smith and Minna L. Williams.
Jean leaves to cherish her loving memories, daughter Karen V. LaSalle, son-in-law Abdbin Salaam Sakina-ID-Deen, sister Ada Reed-Thigpen and a host of other loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A special thanks with love to Pamela Lawrence caregiver, Griswold Home Care and to my Hackensack Meridian/ JFK Home Family.
