Dionne Angela Marshall

Dionne Angela Marshall was born in Lambeth, London November 16th 1965 to Irvin Lester Marshall and Evelyn Marshall. She was the oldest child.  At the age of two her family of four moved to a small parish in St. Anne, Jamaica where she lived until 1974. The family relocated to the United States. They made their home in Irvington, N.J. for a short time then moved to 662 Langdon St in Orange, N.J.

Dionne and her brother graduated from East Orange High School. Then family moved to Edison, New Jersey in 1987.

Dionne graduated from job corps in the early 90s with a specialty in healthcare. This was the right career choice for Dionne, it opened up so many doors for her.

She then went on to thrive at numerous healthcare facilities. She easily gained the trust of others with her infectious smile and compassion for others. She really enjoyed her job. Dionne would bring her work home with her.

Dionne had long time relationships with her colleagues, patients and friends. She impacted so many people through her work.

Dionne’s children were her pride and joy, Chenell, Porshea and Darian.

Dionne was a compassionate and strong willed person. She took joy in knowing she could help others but she also knew when enough was enough. She enjoyed the small things in life.  Good food, a good laugh, Lifetime Movies and listening to the 90’s playlist.  She simultaneously watched T.V. and played music in the background.

She enjoyed spending time with her friends enjoying the vibe that only they could share.

At home Dionne would take time to listen, laugh, and joke with her children. She would buckle down on them when it came to education and chores. Dionne wanted the best for her children and they were well taken care of. She wanted them to be successful adults in this society with compassion and respect for others.

Dionne worked hard to make sure that she would never have to depend on her kids.

In 2016 Dionne’s health declined and took a turn for the worst when Kidney failure and complications from diabetes ended her life   too soon November 14th 2020.

Dionne is preceded in death by he parents Irvin Lester Marshall and Joyce Evelyn Marshall.

Dionne leaves to cherish here loving memories her children Chenell Evelyn Marshall, Porshea Lorraine Marshall and Darian Anthony Marshall, Siblings: Dean Anthony Marshall, Peter Marshall
