Barbara Sims Obituary

                                                                Life’s Reflections

Barbara Jean as she was called reached out to many people with her caring smile, and her dedicated heart, she was as sweet as a butterfly.

Barbara became a faithful and true warrior in God’s army. On December 30, 2021 she accepted the angel’s invitation to join our Lord in Paradise at her home in Rahway, NJ while surrounded by her grandson, granddaughters, her son and daughter in-law. It is a joy to know that Gods kingdom has opened its door to a good and faithful solider.

In her free time Barbara Jean loved to read cowboy romance novels, cooking while laughing with her late sons wife Lacara Sims (known as Sis)or watching greys anatomy with a wine cooler in hand. Her favorite color was pink and her favorite book was the Bible. She will be remembered as a kind hearted, selfless Christian who majored in letting God do the judging and minored in spreading love and peace.

Barbara was born on October 13, 1934 in Florence, S.C. She was the first daughter of Lugenia Mack and Off Sellers and oldest sister to Dorothy Hollinshed (predeceased).

Of this blessed union five children were born, Brenda Joyce, Laverne Jr., Debra Lorraine, Robert (predeceased), and Michael (Irene) Sims, N.J..
