Wilhelmenia "Boo" Bonnie Bates

Wilhelmenia “Boo” Bonnie Bates, born in March 11, 1966 in  Elizabeth, NJ to the late Willie Bates and the late Hazel Valmir. Wilhelmenia attended the Linden Public school system and then went on to work a various places. “Boo”, was a nurturer and she loved taking care of her family. Boo loved animals especially her pit bull “Chip” and the family pet Shihtzu “Akamaru” that she called “Maury”. Boo loved music, singing and dancing. She loved to cook and her favorite pass times were playing spades, blackjack, bingo and to just have a good time. Our beloved Wilhelmenia, “Boo Boo” departed this life on February 18, 2021 at home. Wilhelmenia leaves to cherish her memories her three children, Aaron Lockwood, Najahlah Lockwood and Antoine Soto. Two sisters, Annie Caldwell and Larretha Smith. Four brothers, Aziz Wheeler, James Wheeler, Herman Wheeler and Max Valmir. She is preceded in death by her Sister Della Bates-Fullwood, and her brothers Ezell Wheeler and Donald Wheeler. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
