Shirley Jean Fountain

Shirley Jean Fountain was born to the late Roselle and Gladys Council on July 15, 1947 in Kinston North Carolina. Shirley passed away on Wednesday July 15, 2020

Shirley was a longtime resident of Elizabeth, N.J.  She was employed at Westfield Convalescent Center for many years.

Shirley loved her family and friends. She enjoyed shopping and listening to old school music, Otis Redding was her favorite singer. She loved taking care of her long time and loved her partner Jamo; with her own longtime illness she always made sure Jamo was OK.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Roselle and Gladys Council, her brother James Edwards and her late husband Clinton Fountain.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her two loving children daughter Matashia Edwards, son Antione Fountain, grandchildren Kareem, Yahminah, Jyyitha, Shanice and Antione Jr, great-grandchildren Taylor, Steven, Kareem, Zayden, Morgan, and Jayden, sisters Eunice Sims, Lillian Maye, Margaret Edwards, Rosa Lee Edwards, Louise Terry, longtime partner James Jamo Walker and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She will be remembered for her sweet and loving personality.

We will love her forever.
