Kayesha Kim Bodiford-Walker

November 30, 1980 — November 30, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kayesha Kym Walker, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who began eternal life on September 11, 2023. Kayesha touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering strength.

Born on February 3, 1981 to the late Kenneth Bodiford and the late Cynthia DuPree, Kayesha embarked on a remarkable journey filled with kindness and selflessness. Her life was a testament to her boundless love for others, and it was this love that led her to adopt two beautiful children, Qamazzi and Journee.

Kym embraced motherhood with open arms, providing her children with a nurturing and loving environment that allowed them to flourish for the time that they were in her care. Her devotion to them was unwavering, and she instilled in them the values of empathy, resilience, and the importance of family.

In addition to her role as a devoted mother, Kym was a source of inspiration to all who knew her. She possessed an indomitable spirit and an unshakable faith that guided her through life's challenges. Her resilience was a beacon of hope, and she faced adversity with grace and determination.

Kym will be remembered for her warm smile, her kindness, and her ability to make anyone feel loved and cherished. She had an innate ability to light up a room with her presence, and her laughter was infectious.

She leaves to cherish her memory her foster children Quamazzi & Journee, her grandmother Blondine DuPree, her sister Shakeena Bodiford, her Auntie Monica DuPree-Holder and Uncle Mark Holder, first cousins Teasha, Cherish, Brittany, and Shaheed. Auntie Joyce & Brenda and Uncle Marion & Hubert Bodiford of Albany, Ga. The Walker family along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.

As we mourn the loss of Kayesha, we find solace in the beautiful memories we shared with her. Her legacy of love and resilience will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

May Kayesha’'s soul find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire us to live our lives with the same love, compassion, and strength that she so beautifully exemplified.

Psalm 23:1-4 (NIV) "The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."
