Janet Lee Baker was born October 12, 1954 in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Claude and Mae Ellen Lee. Janet was raised and educated in the Elizabeth, New Jersey public school system. She furthered her education by attending Union County College where she graduated in Business Administration and later became State Certified as an CNA.

Upon completion of her education, she gained employment with Hilltop Nursing Home in Parsippany, New Jersey. She pursued her passion of taking care of others in their time of need.

Janet had a great love of being around her family, cooking, playing cards and enjoying life. She especially enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and attending church with her mother.

Janet is pre-deceased by her husband Gerald K. Baker Sr., her parents Claude and Mae Ellen Lee, Grandmother Nellie Henry Rozier, Brother Tracey E. Lee, her Uncle Thomas Robertson Jr. and Brother in-law Luther Johnson Jr.

She leaves to cherish her children Marlon D. Lee (Greensboro, NC) Natasha M. Lee (Carteret, NJ) Yolander Baker-Mahone, Corey Baker, Tiffany Baker (Jersey City, NJ) and Gerald Baker Jr. (Elizabeth, NJ). Three sisters Claudette Paden (Roselle, NJ), Annette (Luther) Johnson (Elizabeth, NJ) and Wilma Murray (Wendell, NC). Four grandchildren, Raven Kamaria and Darren Rashawn Lee, Jyaire Marcell Hadley and Jace Xavier Dodson. Five nephew’s Terrance and Troy Lee, Jamil Paden, Ronald and Kyron Murray. Four niece’s Tiffany Beaubien, Jamilla “Nijah” Paden, Stacey and Jayda Lee and a host of relatives and friends.
