Donald Johnson

Donald Leroy Johnson was born in Elizabeth, NJ on December 21, 1932 and he died at Regency Heritage nursing and rehabilitation center in Somerset, NJ on January 6, 2022.

He married Eleanor Davis on March 23, 1973. He went to school in the Elizabeth public school system. At an early age he went to work at universal coat factory for many years. He worked for Hyatt Clark in Roselle, NJ and worked for Highland Park School System, and last was Passco Automotive in Edison all in NJ.

He was a member of Second Macedonia Baptist Church in Elizabeth NJ. Rev Joseph  L Adair Jr Pastor. Donald loves cooking. He was an outdoors person, and he loved all sports. He had a good life and loved all his children and mother Lena Johnson.

He was preceded by his former marriage Virginia Johnson, Brother Kenneth Harris, and son Darnell Johnson.

In addition to his children, he leaves to cherish his memory his wife Eleanor Johnson, son Keith Leroy Johnson of  Highland Park NJ, granddaughters  Nelly Brown of Perth Amboy, Adrienne Johnson of Branchburg, NJ, Tiffany Jackson of Illinois, Jenna Johnson of Highland Park, NJ, grandson Keith P. Johnson of Highland Park, his great grandchildren Isaiah A. Johnson, Anthony Johnson-Barnes, Nazir Thomas, Kimiyah Thomas, Tre’Vaughn  Jackson, Samya Churchill, sister-in-law Doris Estes, from his former marriage children: his daughters Sharon Jones of South Carolina, Michelle Johnson of Florida,  Elizabeth Johnson of Morristown  NJ, Joanne Johnson of East Orange, his son Steven Johnson of Elizabeth NJ, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
