Dana Mcfarland

Dana McFarland was born as Dana Inez Dallas on December 31, 1926, in Pottsville, VA. to Charlie Dallas and Mary Pea. The 5th of 15 children. Dana Dallas came to New York in the early fifties and was a live-in Nanny for several New York families. Dana worked in Far Rockaway and St Albans, New York. She was educated in a one-room school that only went up to the 7th grade. She continued her education and earned her GED and went on to become CAN and worked at Liz Moore Nursing Home in Elizabeth N.J. Later she worked at St Elizabeth Hospital in Elizabeth N.J. now known as Trinitas Hospital.

Dana married the love of her life the late Charles McFarland. From this union, four children were born.

Dana was preceded in death by her sons David McFarland, Donald McFarland, and several siblings. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Wendy McFarland and Wanda Polnitz (James), grandchildren Lekeysha McFarland, David McFarland Jr., Ansar McFarland, Ajeenah McFarland,  Melini McFarland, Danielle McFarland, James Quadre Williams, Alonzo Turner, Clarence and Jeanean Turner, sisters Oliva Moore, Mallicent Jackson brothers Orlando Dallas, Warren Dallas, Wayne Dallas and a host of loving great-grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral service for Dana McFarland will start at 12:00 noon, May 29, 2020.
